My Summer of Gardening 2010

First my garden is not doing so well this year.  Too much rain in May and June really slowed the growth.  The marmots had gotten in and eaten most of my beets and carrots which did not come back.  Most everything else did recover.  But here are some photos of the progress of my vegetable garden over the summer.

Then comes my flowers which have done very well.  Here is the progress of growth in my beds and pots over the summer.

Along with all the outside gardening I do, I also have a greenhouse where I start all my plants and grow my tomatoes, peppers and eggplant.  Growing will continue there till we head south in the winter.  So here is my progress this year in my greenhouse.

Harvesting has begun here.  I just finished picking all my red and black currants.  My sour cherries and raspberries will be ready in a few days.  I have also been out along the creeks harvesting wild peppermint I dry for tea to use thru out the year.  Saskatoon berries will also be ready soon.  I am now enjoying some of the bounty from the garden as well.

Happy gardening to everyone
