Autumn In Our Yard

Well many of the autumn colors have finally hit our yard.  I have managed to keep most of my potted flowers still protected from the many frost we have had so far.  I share now with you a look at another season that surrounds me.  I know I said I wasn’t going to blog new stuff until I had updated my old blogs from spaces, but I see now it is going to be a long slow process that will take me till Christmas to do.  So you will now see updates from reposted blogs as well as new blogs.  Just check the dates at the bottom so you know what is new and what is old.

to help deter birds from flying into it.

All my potted flowers on the deck are still blooming
as I have been covering them during our frost.

The weather has been so beautiful this fall.  I still have lots of
work to do in the garden, but had taken a break for awhile.
Since our ground will start freezing by November I will be back
at it again starting this week.  So I will be taking absent
again for a while.  Also I need to try and get some
serious uploading done on reposting my old blogs from spaces.

So wishing everyone beautiful weather
where ever you are and a
Good Morning…   Good Afternoon…   Good Night…
What ever it is to you…

Nice! You are a bit ahead of me, but that stands to reason, I guess. My Japanese and Vine Maples are just starting and the Birch and Cherries aren't even close. You log house looks similar to to those built by a local firm here. I already have one picked out.

Hi Carrie, I really enjoyed reading some of our posts after dropping in from Scott's Finding Another View blog, which I also follow (great photographer). Loved the photos of your home and garden and greenhouse bounty. We also grow our own veggies on a small mini-farm on the VA eastern shore and this winter hope to grow veggies in our own small greenhouse. We blog about our home, recipes, adventures. Currently we are on our first road trip through Maine to view fall colors, and it is fun adventure. Please feel free to drop in for a visit at:

We enjoy having folks drop-in an always read and reply to comments left.

Hi Carrie,
Delightful pictures. Hope your reposting goes well, I gave up and sent the rest of my live spaces blog to word press today. It seemed to transfer well and my photo albums were kept on live spaces profile, so I was pleased about that. I will have this as my main home. For the time being my wordpress is private, me only, but at least I have all my old blogs and comments from friends intact. take care - hugs - Nita

Gorgeous place Carrie - so scenic, and lots of plants, trees, flowers, ornaments. I'll be cleaning up the gardens over the next couple of weeks too - we usually have till the end of October. There are dahlias and lilies to dig up and veggies in the garden still - and in between I try to keep up my 365 project.

Have a great week !
